Getting Back Into Blogging

13:55

I'm pleased to say that recently I've rediscovered my love for blogging. After months of questioning whether or not I even wanted to carry on blogging, I feel as though I've come back to it with tons of inspiration for blog posts.

I realise that a lot of my posts lately have been personal, how I'm doing, how life's going, my goals - that sort of thing, but I'm now feeling inspired to write about other topics again. I drew up a content plan at like midnight last night with ideas for the next six months and while I've got to allow myself some flexibility as chances are if I force myself to stick to a plan, my writing just won't be up to scratch, I like having a brief plan of ideas to follow month to month.

My goal is to slowly ease myself back up to posting eight times a month, that's twice a week, it'll probably be a Sunday and a Wednesday that I post. I'm just so happy that I'm actually feeling inspired and coming up with new ideas for content. From topics like mental health and wellbeing through to lifestyle, beauty and even some travel blog post ideas, not that I do much travelling, especially not this year, but you get the idea.

I know I was talking about building a life outside of my blog in a recent blog post, I can't remember which one, and I'm well on my way to doing that, but having a few hours each evening and at a weekend where I can really put my all into my blog is just appealing to me at the moment. My next goal is to reach 400,000 page views by the end of 2021 and if I work hard and average about 10,700 views a month up until next year, I can definitely get there. I know it might seem a bit extra to go so in-depth into my stats like this, but it helps motivate me.

Anyway, this was just a quick blog post to say that I'm getting back into blogging, I've got a whole list of topics I can write about for the rest of this month, it's just a case of choosing which order to write them in.

  1. It is great to have some ideas and goals that you want to reach. Making a goal to improve blog stats is motivating. You will definitely achieve your goals. I try to post often but sometimes life is very busy. :-)

  3. Hi Beth. Welcome back! I have to say that I would struggle with your proposed posting schedule - I can just about manage one post per month! Good luck with that and the page view target. Will you be doing anything in particular to increase page views?

    1. Hi! That's understandable. I think I'll just be promoting my blog loads on social media to try and increase my page views, I find twitter very good for this.

  5. I think every blogger experiences some feeling of 'blogging fade' or boredom at some point in their journey. For some, it's burnout. For others, they simply fall out of love with the blogging process. Whatever the reason, it spells the end for a lot of blogs out there. I'm glad to hear that you were able to reconnect with your blog! Looking forward to seeing what's to come
