Post Lockdown List

I've been getting pretty bored lately, there's only so much you can play on The Sims 4 for before it gets very dull. For today's post, I thought I'd make a list of all the things I want to do once Lockdown is over and it's safe to get back to some sense of normality. I feel as though I've made peace with the time I've been given to get myself together, when lockdown first started it felt like the days just dragged on, but I'm more content with this slow pace we're living in now.

When lockdown first started, it cut through my routine and usual way of life, but in a way, I'm grateful for it doing that because, taking a step back has helped me put things into perspective and I feel like I'm ready to start 'living' again.

I feel as though I've got comfortable in my comfort zone and it's time to slowly start pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone and expand my world a little bit, which is why, when lockdown is over, I'm going to try and approach life with a fresh new attitude. I want to do more, see more and experience more. Anyway, I'll get on with the list before I get too deep and personal in this post.

1) Go To A Beach:

I originally set a plan back in January to visit a beach on May 13th, I picked out a random date on the calendar, but obviously that plan had to be put on the back burner. So, when lockdown is lifted, or probably a little while after that to make sure it's not too busy, I want to head to the beach with my camera and one of my dogs. (Seamus of course). It would have to be a nearby beach as I can't be bothered with long car journeys and I'd prefer it to be raining as I love the rain, but you know sun is good too.

2) Go Shopping:

I've been ordering online a lot lately, but I miss shopping at TK Maxx and Primark and B&M and other discount stores. You know those shops where you go in without a clue as to what you want to buy and you come out with bags full of stuff you didn't need but wanted impulsively? Yeah, I miss those.

3) Go To Starbuck's (Lots):

I miss my drive-thru caramel macchiatos.

4) Take My Camera Somewhere New:

I haven't taken my camera anywhere interesting since September last year when I visited Pistyll Rhaeadr. I so want to go somewhere new with my camera and just photograph the scenery.

5) Keep Reading Books:

I hadn't read anything this year up until a few weeks ago and as soon as I got into a good book I wondered why I hadn't been reading previously. There's something so nice about getting lost in a good book, it's the ultimate escapism, I hope to continue this pace at which I'm reading books currently post lockdown.

6) Get Out More:

As I mentioned earlier in the blog post, I need to get out of my comfort zone more and that involves actually leaving the house. My goal is to get out more in general after this lockdown is over so I can recover (or just learn to better manage) my anxiety.
