Learning To Relax

So something I've realised recently is that I'm just no good at relaxing. I don't know why but in this fast-paced and busy world I feel the need to be constantly productive.

If I'm not writing lists, cleaning the house or working on my blog or a side project, I feel like I'm wasting my time, but I'm writing this post as learning to relax can be just as important as time spent productive.

Knowing when to chill and have a break can be crucial to things like productivity as otherwise we'd be burning the candle at both ends so to speak and so I'm writing this post as a note to myself to take the time out to relax. I feel I've touched on this in my Pressure To Be Productive post, and lately I've been feeling that pressure quite a bit.

Setting myself a cut-off time each day so that I can have the evenings to just chill and relax would be ideal and this is something I'm going to start doing: I'll let you know how it goes.

But, if you're like me and you just can't seem to relax for whatever reason, just know that it's important to have downtime and to practise self-care too as you don't want to end up burning out from doing too much, or if you're like me and you just sit there thinking about all the things you've got to do in the evenings rather than just relaxing then take this as your sign to just relax.
