Why I'm happy to pay more for my exfoliator...

If there's one key step in skincare, it's to exfoliate. When exfoliating, the dead skin cells on the very top layer of skin are gently washed away, revealing the newer smoother skin. It's for this reason I stress so much as to how important it is to cleanse your face.
Without exfoliating you'd simply be piling make-up on to unclean skin, resulting in clogged up pores...a nightmare. I personally suffer most from blackheads around my nose and breakouts on my t-zone, which is why I am so keen on having cleansers that work well.
Sadly though, when it comes to exfoliating, there's only one word that comes to mind: pointless. Most exfoliators I've used in the past have been a let down, doing little more than adding an, at times, grease-like shine to my face for a short time and proving no more successful in cleansing my face than hot water and a flannel.

Retailing at £29.99, Radan & Fields skin soothing exfoliator is on my list of
 must-have products this summer.
Recently, I started using Radan & Fields Skin Smoothing Exfoliator, in the hope of having finally found a product worthwhile. To start with the product packaging's subtle appeal suggests an honest product, and it is just that. It does what it says.
Now, I know it's not your purse-friendly drug store facial cleanser, and the just shy of £30 price tag can, at first glance, be rather intimidating, but for a 177ml bottle that will last at least a few months with regular use is surely better than constantly buying different types of cheaper cleansers in the hope that one works?
I definitely wouldn't consider myself a brand fiend and would much prefer value for money over spending a lot of money. My general opinion is that these more luxury products are the same quality as those at high-street friendly prices; you are just paying for the label, as a statement of wealth. Contradicting this opinion is that of my opinion of Radan & Fields Exfoliator, which is so much more lightweight and gentle on the skin than most others like it I've seen. Committed to using this product once-twice weekly, I have seen a noticeable improvement in the smoothness and cleanliness of my skin.
It's for these reasons why I'm happy to pay that extra amount of money for an exfoliator. In my opinion, it's one of the most, if not the most important part of my facial skincare routine.

Please let me know in the comments below what exfoliator you use, and also what your most vital part of your skincare routine is?
