Dealing With Boredom

So for many of us, boredom might be starting to kick in. For today's post I just thought I'd share with you some ways in which I'm tackling boredom in the coming weeks.

Establish A Routine:

Having a routine can really help prevent boredom, creating to do lists and ticking things off once you've done them is a great way to do this, or you could create a timetable of things you're planning to do.

Break Up Your Day

Breaking up your day into chunks can really help keep boredom at bay, changing up your activities and the environment you're in can really help.

Take Care Of Yourself:

If we're doing too much or too little, we may forget to put ourselves first and so I encourage you to look after yourself, schedule in some self care and really relax. Check out my guide to self care.

Have A Clear Out:

Using this time to declutter and have a clear out could be beneficial. You could start small with just a corner of a room and work through it step by step to ensure it stays manageable.

Pursue Creative Hobbies:

Whether it's painting or poetry, playing an instrument or colouring, being creative is a great way to deal with boredom. You could also start a journal, check out my post on why you should keep a journal.

Connect With Others:

Just because we're practising social distancing doesn't mean we have to stay distant, technology nowadays is great as we can keep in touch with each other easily.

Spend Time Outside:

Spending time outdoors is another way to help with boredom, even if that just means having a cup of tea or reading in the garden.

Keep Yourself Busy:

There are so many different ways you can spend your time at home, be sure to check out my 26 ways to spend your time at home blog post for more info on this.

So those are my tips for dealing with boredom, if you have any other suggestions or thoughts on this post be sure to leave them in the comments section below.
