17 Simple Ways To Boost Your Mood

Okay so today's post is all about how to boost your mood. There are tons of ideas in this post on how to perk your mood up when you're feeling a bit low. Hope this helps!

1) Make a list of all the things you have to be grateful for:

It's easy to forget how much we have sometimes and so by writing a list of all the things you have to be grateful for you'll be reminding yourself of the positives in your life.

2) Make a list of all the things you have to look forward to:

If you haven't got a very big list, then start thinking of things to do to keep you looking forward and thinking positive.

3) Practice self-care:

Self-care means different things to different people, it could mean getting your nails done or it could mean getting an early night. Check out my guide to self care post for more info.

4) Exercise:

Exercise is a proven mood-booster so get exercising!

5) Cook your favourite meal:


6) Bake some cookies.

Baking is a great way to distract yourself from whatever is going on in your life that's getting you down, and it's great to see the final result too.

7) Treat yourself to some material things:

Whether that's some new makeup or some new clothes, just treat yourself. You deserve it.

8) Read a book:

I've got about five books I need to get round to reading, but reading is a great way to relax and unwind and can help your mood in the process.


9) Do some crafts or DIY:

Sometimes it takes applying yourself to doing something productive to really help your mood. Why not make your own soap? Or sugar scrub? 

10) Immerse yourself in your favourite hobby:

12) Listen to uplifting music:


13) Play an instrument, or learn how to play one:


14) Clean the house:

Okay so this one might sound a bit boring, but sometimes the feeling of a job well done is enough to perk your mood up.

15) Talk to someone:


16) Write down a list of 50 things that make you happy:


17) Write down your worries or your problems:
