So, recently I've learnt the important of downtime. Making time to relax and unwind can be vital to your mental wellbeing so today I've compiled a list of 12 simple ways to relax and unwind. 

Mindfulness colouring can be the perfect way to relax and unwind.


Read a book:

Reading is just one of the ways you can unwind, you can see what I've been reading in 2019 here.

Have a warm bath.


Quick and Easy DIYs:

Why not try making your own soap, sugar scrub or bath bombs?

Mindfulness Colouring:

In the past few years, mindfulness colouring has surged in popularity and it's no wonder why. You can take it with you anywhere and just take 5.

Journaling:

Keeping a diary or journal can be a great way to get your feelings out on paper. You could try writing down your worries, or just how your day is going.


Watch some Netflix or Amazon Video:

Because why not?

Spend time with a dog (or a cat).


Meditate:

While this ones not for me, meditation really works for some people. Why not give it a try?

Yoga:

Again, this one isn't my cup of tea, but it seems to work for some.

Listen to a relaxing playlist.


Paint or draw:

Painting or drawing can be a great way to unleash your creativity and is super relaxing.

Spend some time alone:

Sometimes, time alone is all you need to unwind.
