6 Small Ways To Make A Difference

10:00

There's so much we can do as individuals to help the world, whether that's by helping other people, the environment or just living more ethically in general. Today I rounded up a few ways you can help make a difference, there only small ways that aren't time consuming and you can start today.

Recycle:

We throw so much away each year and just by recycling we can help the environment that little bit more.

Donate in charity pots:

Just a bit of spare change can really help make a difference, and it makes you feel good too.

Donate your old clothes and bric-a-brac to charity shops:

If you're having a Spring clean why not donate some items to charity shops and help out a good cause? Not only this, but by donating your old clothes (and maybe shopping there) you help combat the damage done to the environment by fast fashion.

Plant some flowers:

You can help the bees by planting pretty flowers somewhere in your garden. The world needs more flowers.

Volunteer:

Ok, so this one might be a bit time-consuming, but if you have free time why not volunteer somewhere. It'll make you feel really good about yourself and you'll be helping out a worthwhile cause at the same time.

Buy a re-usable mug:

If you're like me and you practically live at places like Starbuck's and Costa, then buying a reusable mug is a great way of helping the environment out.

  1. I do like to donate my daughter's old clothes, as well as our own old clothes. I have volunteered before as well, and this was really helpful. Good tips!

  3. Really helpful post. We must do this at least once or twice in the year. No one has free time , when you can get time for vacations then you should get time for this work too.

  4. I love charity shops - for buying and donating books and clothes. I know, I know, eBooks are better for the environment but they can't handle being dropped in the bath so I like to pick up interesting paperbacks too XD
