8 Small Ways To A Healthier, Happier You

One of my goals this year is to be more healthy and happy overall, so I thought I'd share how I plan on achieving this with you. I'm really focusing on self-care this year too, so this post ties in nicely with that. Anyway, here goes my 8 small ways to a healthier, happier you.


1) Drink plenty of water.
An obvious, but important one is to make sure you're drinking plenty of water. Dehydration can leave you feeling sluggish.

2) Practice good sleep hygiene.
Remembering to switch off your phone an hour before bed is an important one. 

3) Exercise regularly. 
As well as being good for your physical health, exercising regularly is a great mood booster.

4) Focus on what you achieve.
Every day, make sure you focus on what you've achieved. Even if it's something as simple as tidying the house, or posting a blog post. Every small thing you do adds up, so count your successes. 

5) Let go of the fear of failure. 
Think about it. If you're not scared of failing, then you won't be too scared to try something new and that could lead you to great places. 

6) Be more mindful.
Practicising mindfulness everyday and just taking a moment to focus on how you're feeling or why you're doing something can be a great way to re-centre yourself and your aims and goals. 

7) Be grateful.
When I've had a bad day, I always try to spin it round into a good one by writing down three things I'm grateful for that day. Even if it's just feeling grateful for the weather, there's always positives to take from each day. 

8) Accept yourself for who you are. 
I think everyone struggles with this at some point, but accepting yourself for who you are is a sure-step to a happier and healthier mindset.

  1. This is a fabulous list! I love that drinking water is up at the top, whenever I start feeling off and lacking in energy I ask myself when I last drank something and when I last ate something. :)
