DIY Bath Bomb Recipe

10:00

I've been really into my creative DIYs lately, like bath bombs and sugar scrubs, so I thought I'd share with you how I made them in case you want to give it a go yourself.

The ingredients will be enough to make four average sized bath bombs.

You'll need:

1 tablespoon of Coconut oil.
1 cup of Epsom Bath Salts.
2 teaspoons of Essential Oil.
Glitter (Optional).
1 cup of Baking Soda.
Bath Bomb Mould.

  • Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for one to minutes.
  • Mix in the bath salts, baking powder, essential oil and glitter.
  • You should find it turns into a thick, sticky, almost powdery mixture.
  • Put the mixture in the mould and leave to set overnight.

Review:

I absolutely loved using these bath bombs, though what I didn't like was having glitter stuck to me the following day. So, if I were to make these again I wouldn't use glitter in them (despite how much fun it was watching the glitter fizz in the bath). These bath bombs didn't carry a huge fizz to them, there nothing like a lush bath bomb, but they worked nonetheless and if you're looking for a creative little diy thing to do then this might be for you.

  1. I've just started making my own bath bombs...they are so easy aren't they? I love the unicorn shape, and I bet the glitter looked lovely in the bath!
Adding 1/2 cup of citric acid may help them fizz a bit more!
